About the role:

Our client is a national leader in waste management technology, looking for an autonomous Technician to lead their Queensland maintenance operations.


In this role, you aren’t just a number; you are a trusted specialist. You will enjoy a solo workflow, starting your day from home and heading out to various sites across South East Queensland.

What You'll Be Doing:

This is a high-impact, hands-on role where you will be integral to the site's success.

Your responsibilities include:

Technical Mastery: Perform routine maintenance and complex repairs on industrial balers and compactors to ensure peak performance.

Expert Diagnostics: Rapidly troubleshoot electrical and mechanical faults to minimise client downtime.

Preventive Strategy: Run smart maintenance plans to extend equipment life and prevent emergency breakdowns.

Emergency Response: Respond promptly to service calls and emergencies, providing timely solutions to restore equipment.

Project Delivery: Plan and install new machinery while upholding the highest safety and industry standards.

What You'll Get in Return (The Earning Power):

Competitive Pay: Starting at $45- $50 an hour Permanent, plus paid leave, sick leave, super, call out allowances and overtime as you want it.

Company Vehicle + mobile phone: A fully maintained company vehicle is provided.

Paid On-Call & Overtime: Be on call every 2 weeks. You get paid an on-call allowance, plus penalty rates with a 4-hour minimum payment for any call-out.

What You'll Need

An Australian Trade Certificate (Mechanical or Electrical).

Full Electrical License OR Restricted Electrical (Disconnect/Reconnect) for Mechanical Trades.

A valid C Class Australian Driver's Licence.

A problem-solving attitude and the ability to work independently.

You must be an Australian Citizen or Permanent Resident.

Ability to pass a pre-employment medical, police check, and drug & alcohol screen.
